Abstract
Aspartame doses of 50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg, given intraperitoneally, reduced 50% convulsion doses of lidocaine by 29.5% and 37.8%, respectively. These values are statistically significant. Latency time and recovery time were not significantly changed. Orally administered doses of aspartame up to 600 mg/kg did not change the 50% convulsion dose of lidocaine.
