Abstract
Endothelium can modulate platelet reactivity directly by affecting platelet adhesion, aggregation and secretion; platelet reactivity can also be modulated indirectly by controlling vascular tone (and hence blood flow) and the activation of the coagulation system. In this review, the activities of endothelial cells that modulate these various processes will be briefly summarised.
