Abstract
Amphibians and reptiles host a great variety of platyhelminth parasites, both adult and larval or juvenile stages (Tables 18.1 and 18.2). The association between amphibians and reptiles and their vast array of flatworms is long-standing judging from their geographical and host distribution. That the associations are successful may be confirmed by the marked paucity of reports linking platyhelminths as etiological agents of herptilian disease.
