Abstract

This study attempted to explore the nature of memory structures for discourse set up by beginning Spanish learners reading a text in the second language. Research efforts were specifically directed toward the determination of the time when these memorial structures are set up. The hypothesized facultative effects of two kinds of word diagrams were also assessed in a recall measure of reading comprehension. A factorial analysis was done on the data.
