Abstract
Besides the viscoelastic properties of bronchial mucus, other rheological characteristics such as spinability may interfere in the mucociliary transport process. Although this rheological property has been widely investigated on the cervical mucus, no study has been devoted to the spinability of bronchial mucus and to its role in mucociliary transport.
