Human ceramidetrihexosidase is an α-galactosidase responsible for the hydrolysis of the terminal α-galactosidic linkage of neutral glycosphingolipids like galactosyl (α 1→4) galactosyl (ß 1→4) glucosylceramide (ceramide-3, also known as ceramidetrihexoside)[1].
