Abstract
The possible interaction between the NADPH-dependent hydroxyla-tion system and the NADH-dependent desaturation system is an important aspect of the liver microsomal electron transport system. From the discussions we have had in this meeting, and recent studies (Cohen and Estabrook, 1971a, 1971b, 1971c; Correia and Mannering, 1973a, 1973b; Hildebrandt and Estabrook, 1971; Modirzadeh and Kamin, 1965; Sasame et al., 1973a, 1973b), it is obvious that these two systems do interact and that cytochrome b5 plays an important role in this interaction.
