Abstract

Semen is made up of two components, viz, the spermatozoa and seminal plasma, which differ from each other physiologically as well as chemically. Moreover, the physiological and chemical properties of these two components of semen do not remain constant but undergo characteristic changes in the course of the period of sperm passage from the testes to the site of final destination in the female reproductive tract.
