Abstract

A critical evaluation of the different methods of pore-structure analysis shows that a satisfactory statistical description of a porous composite is still missing. To deduce diffusion processes as encountered in heterogeneous catalysis, data from sorption measurements and microscopic observations are not sufficient. Investigations on Raney platinum by sorption and electrochemical measurement, scanning electron microscopy, and impedance measurement are discussed.
