Abstract
Any in situ culture of marine invertebrates (clams, oysters, prawns, etc,) should consider resident bacterial flora. Resident flora will indicate: l) The degree and type of heterotrophic activity at the decomposition level of the trophic structure; 2) the degree and type of fecal intrusion on water quality.
