Abstract
When Professor Jennings called me in October to test my acceptance for this talk, I asked him about the proposed program. I tried to sell him on having a more scientifically oriented speaker for this assignment, but he advised that the planning committee wanted someone from industry. My remarks therefore are those of an engineer-contractor who has spent most of his working years in one environmental area — that of installing systems to provide “thermal comfort” for buildings.
