Abstract
This paper describes a methodology for comparing organizational effectiveness of manufacturing units in Algeria. The research took place in 7 textile plants. Data was collected about the plants and 327 questionnaires were filled in by workers at the plants. Methodological aspects of using questionnaires for assessing organizational effectiveness are discussed. Algerian organizations as they are affected by their environment are discussed.
