Part of the book series: Residue Reviews / Rückstands-Berichte ((RECT,volume 43))

Abstract

Recent literature has shown that the thin-layer chromatographic-enzyme inhibition (TLC-EI) technique is a promising and practical method for analysis of pesticide residues, metabolites, or enzyme inhibitors. Various enzymatic methods for pesticide residue analysis were reviewed by Devlin (1959), Archer (1963), Guilbault (1966 and 1970 a), and Zweig and Moore (1970). Guilbault (1970 a) and Zweig and Moore (1970) also reviewed the use of the TLC-EI technique for the detection of pesticides. Enzymatic methods of analysis have been extensively treated in a book by Guilbault (1970 b).
