Abstract
In an earlier volume of this book series, Suzuki (1963) presented an outline of Japanese laws and regulations concerned with pesticide1 and food-additive residues in foodstuffs. The purpose of the present review is to supplement the earlier one with more details and later amendments of these laws concerning pesticides and to describe pesticide residue problems and new regulatory programs in Japan.
