Abstract
Supercomputers -- the largest and fastest computers available at any point in time -- have been the products of complex interplay among technological, architectural, and algorithmic developments. The history of supercomputers depicts the dominance of each of these developments at particular times and divides naturally into three eras: (a) technology, (b) architecture, and (c) algorithms.
