Abstract
Processes taking place during polymer adhesion in the system: latex film (substrate) - latex (adhesive) are considered. It is shown that the main factor promoting the complete autohesion of substrate and adhesive layers is the complete and significant contact between the globules surfaces. Coagulation of adhesive on the substrate surface, which prevents realization of full contact between globules, can be suppressed by treating the substrate surface with non-ionic surface-active agents. An increase of contact area is achieved by means of substrate vulcanization, which raises the surface relief.
