Abstract
The physical structure of macromolecular materials is related to the structure of the isolated macromolecule (microstructure) and the structure of many macromolecules together (macrostructure). The macrostructure is essentially determined by the microstructure, and, in turn, the microstructure is determined by the conformation about σ bonds.
