Integrated Forest Pest Management: A Silvicultural Necessity

  • Chapter
Integrated Pest Management

Abstract

Diseases and insects are major causes of loss in the value and productivity of forest resources. Prevention or reduction of these losses by adjustments in forest management and utilization practices is a familiar concept in forestry; but the concept has yet to be implemented fully.
