Abstract

In order to evaluate the effect of drugs which affect the enterohepatic circulation of cholesterol, analytical procedures were developed for studying and measuring changes in biliary excretion of cholesterol, phospholipids, bile acids and bile acid conjugates. Analyses by gas phase analytical methods provided characteristic “profiles” for each fraction.
