Abstract

Lymphocyte cultures were used for these karyotypes which were kindly donated by Dr. D.A. Duffield, Los Angeles, California. They come from Florida manatees and pairing is arbitrary, following that of White et al. (1976). Only one previous manatee, T. inunguis has been studied with 2n=56 (Loughman et al., 1970).
