Abstract

The autosomes are indistinguishable from the putative ancestral type of P. praeconis (Folio 475 ). One medium-sized pair (pair 9) may possess a short second arm. The sex chromosomes of P. higginsi are also similar to those of P. praeconis. The X chromosome of P. hermannsburgensis is a large submetacentric whereas the Y is a large subtelocentric.
