Notomys fuscus

Abstract

Basically, the autosomes of this species are very similar to those of Pseudomys (see Folio 475) except N. fuscus has one pair of small metacentrics instead of two pairs. Pairs Nos. 4 and 9 are heteromorphic (bottom karyotype). The sex chromosomes are very large.
