Abstract
In today’s global market place, quickly bringing a high-quality new product to the market has become a critical factor in a company’s success. Rapid prototyping (RP) or solid freeform fabrication (SFF), a group of emerging technologies for the production of mechanical components without part-specific tooling, provides great potential for rapid product realization.
