Abstract
Before the initiation of demolition, an inspection should be made to ascertain any existing dangerous structural defects. If, as often occurs, the structure has already been partially wrecked by fire, flood, explosion, or vandalism, walls should be shored or braced to ensure the safety of the demolition team.
