Abstract
In August 1996, NASA scientists made a stunning announcement. They found possible evidence of ancient life on Mars. These scientists speculate that the object shown in Fig. 1 might be a Martian microfossil, possibly the remains of primitive life from ancient Mars. Scientists used advanced technologies to examine a 4.5-billion-year-old rock that had blasted off Mars millions of years ago, traveled through space, and landed in Antarctica. This is the strongest evidence ever found of life on another planet.
