Abstract
J.C. Fratantoni, Rockville, MD, USA: It was interesting that you got some response from the 1990 SANGUIS report when you looked at the results in 1995. In the United States there was a conference on fresh frozen plasma in 19841 and they spelled out very few logical indications of fresh frozen plasma. They then looked at the results ofthat conference several years later and it had no effect on physicians’ use of fresh frozen plasma at all. There was no change in the reimbursement policies for fresh frozen plasma in the States. Regarding aid to the SANGUIS study, was there any change in the financial policies towards fresh frozen plasma that may have led to some changes that you saw?
