Abstract
Business ethics was virtually unknown in Hungary before the political and economic changes in the late 1980s. The Communist party often used ethical arguments against the marketisation process and the market ideology. In the name of the so-called socialist ethics party officials made regular attacks on the entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial activities.
