Abstract

The fuzzy time-point model (ftp) has been proposed to quantify the uncertainty implicitly implied in the time-range representation for microprocessor systems diagnosis. [(1993), (1995)] The ftp model enhances the deductive capability of the time-range models. Extensive studies in ftp reasoning showed promising results. The approach is simple and efficient. It is capable to handle time imprecision associated with asynchronism in digital systems.
