Progress and Prospects in the Direct Search for Supersymmetric Dark Matter Particles

Abstract

We briefly review the latest evidence for non-baryonic dark matter. We also review the most recent estimates for SUSY dark-matter particle interaction with matter. We then provide a critique of the current search for the dark matter and describe one very promising method using background discrimination in liquid xenon.
