Abstract

In a previous work, we presented a feasibility study for a broadband X-ray/VUV radiation detector, based on the luminescence of a phosphor, for ITER-like plasmas1. Its immunity to electromagnetic interference, its radiation hardness plus its capability of operation when access to a machine is limited, make it attractive as a global radiation detector for harsh plasma environments, such as ITER.
