Abstract
If the unit ball B of the distance measure is a convex set containing the origin that is not symmetric, B does not define a norm, but a gauge (see Definition 2). For such unit balls we use the notation \( \tilde B \) , and we use \( \tilde \Upsilon \) for the corresponding gauge function.
