Total Quality Management -implementation on the basis of Poland

  • Chapter
Handbook of Total Quality Management

Abstract

This chapter describes the concept of implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) on the basis of initiative undertaken in Poland by the authors. TQM can be implemented in an organization, but since quality plays a significant part in national economies, the authors propose organized, nation-wide initiatives that will lead organizations within the country to implement TQM. Examples of initiatives taken in Poland are also described in this chapter.

I dedicate this chapter to the Late Professor Edward Kindlarski, who died suddenly during the early stages of working out the concepts of this chapter.
