Abstract
This chapter reports the main findings of a survey which was focused on the TQM training and research needs of European business. The survey was sponsored by the Commission of the European Communities (EC) and supported by the European Foundation For Quality Management (EFQM). The results from the survey have been compared with ongoing research undertaken by the authors on the TQM teaching and research activities at European universities and business schools. This comparative analysis makes it possible to define any gaps between what universities are doing and what the business community needs.
