Abstract
There is an old Irish story about a man who visits a nearby town. As he walks down the street he comes upon a dog attacking a child. the man acts without hesitation, kicking the dog until it is dead. the local newspaper editor is a witness to the event and prepares a banner headline, Neighbor Saves Child from Vicious Dog. the editor asks the man for his address only to discover that the hero is just passing through. Headlines in the next morning’s newspaper proclaim Stranger Murders Family Pet.
