Abstract

Tera celebrated its tenth anniversary in 1997. The company was founded by Jim Rottsolk and Burton Smith who had previously worked together at Denelcor, the maker of HEP data flow architecture systems. Initial work focused on compiler development and software validation of Tera's multithreaded architecture design.
