Abstract

In many areas of atomic, molecular and nuclear physics one needs to evaluate highly oscillatory integrals of the form, where f, g, V ∈ C and where V has a singularity no worse than l/|r 5 + r f|. With the advent of the 6 Dimensional Integral Method, (6DIME) it is now possible to numerically evaluate any integral of the form (1) if g is a bounded function1. This method has already been applied successfully to (e,2e) processes on H,2 and H,3 targets. In this paper we will demonstrate the applicability of the 6DIME to the calculation of (7,2e) in which a linearly polarised photon ionises both electrons from a Helium atom. The two exiting electrons are detected in coincidence, thus providing one with a complete kinematical description of the collision.
