Abstract
Women with primary dysmenorrhea have myometrial hyperactivity and reduced uterine blood flow during pain (1). We studied the possible involvement of vasopressin in the induction of these uterine changes. We also investigated the influence of an orally active vasopressin V1a antagonist, SR 49059, on vasopressin-induced smooth muscle activity of the non-pregnant uterus.
