Impact of the New Information Technologies on Economic-Spatial Systems: Towards an Agenda for Future Research

  • Chapter
Learning, Innovation and Urban Evolution

Abstract

This chapter takes up some of the themes presented in the introductory chapter, and aims to put forward an ‘agenda’ for a research programme to investigate the relationship between innovation and urban development. Besides contributing to a better understanding of these relationships, an agenda of this kind could help focus attention on those questions which should be given priority in addressing the issue.
