Abstract

At WODES’ 98, we introduced an approach to modelling and analysis of PLC systems using ordinary Petri nets. This paper supplements the former one by presenting detailed contributions to a systematic model design of the application program’s surroundings. For that purpose, design aspects of the environment model as well as three different kinds of models for the system program are discussed. As a side effect, an obvious principle of timer modelling turns out.
