Abstract

Normal cardiac function relies on the actions of circulatory mechanisms and controls. In this chapter, circulatory physiology is examined with the aim of elucidating models of heart failure, pinpointing targets of therapy, and identifying neurohormonal mediators of the progression of heart failure.
