Abstract
Recall from Section 1.6 the goal of this project: The goal of the FERRET project is to build and demonstrate a full text information storage and retrieval system called FERRET that uses case frames to provide a conceptual representation of texts and to show that this retrieval system provides better recall and precision performance than is possible with a boolean keyword retrieval system. The algorithms used to implement this system must not require unreasonable amount of maintenance, and must be capable of providing fast response time.
Even faded ink is better than the clearest memory.
