Abstract

Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) has been used for the treatment of increasing numbers of patients with potentially fatal malignant conditions such as: leukemia, lymphomas, solid tumors, as well as non malignant diseases such as severe aplastic anemia, inborn errors of metabolism and congenital immuno-deficiencies. This review will be restricted to the role of BMT in malignant diseases.
