Abstract

In the last few years reflux nephropathy has elicited a growing interest not only among pediatricians, because of the high prevalence of the disease in children presenting with urinary tract infection and of its relevance in causing end stage renal failure, but also among nephrologists, due to an increasing rate of discovery of this disease in adults. In this paper some of the most relevant aspects of reflux nephropathy, namely epidemiology, clinical course and evolution, will be rewieved.
