Abstract

We are now reaching an important milestone—the beginning of electrical science. In these pages, the subject will be developed, as it was historically, from an initial study of electric charges at rest; this forms the topic of electrostatics. (Moving charges exhibit an additional range of phenomena, magnetism, about which more later.)
