Mechanisms of Fanft/Anft Induced Bladder Cancer

  • Chapter
Book cover Nitroarenes

Abstract

Bladder cancer has long been associated with exposure to chemicals. The high incidence of bladder cancer among smokers and workers in dye, rubber and chemical industries is associated with their exposure to aromatic amines (1–3). Progress in fully understanding bladder cancer is hampered by the lack of appropriate animal models.
