Achievements in Quantum Monte Carlo

Presentation of the third Eugene Feenberg Memorial Medal in Many-Body Physics to Malvin H.Kalos

  • Chapter

Abstract

I have the great honour to present the Eugene Feenberg Memorial Medal on the occasion of the sixth International Conference on Recent Progress in Many-Body Theories. The Feenberg Medal was created by the International Advisory Committee of the third conference of this kind held in 1983 in Altenberg, West-Germany. It has been established — in memoriam of our esteemed colleague and teacher Eugene Feenberg — for keeping the spirit of his approach to physics alive and flowering, and for honoring outstanding contributions to the advancement of many-body theories from first principles.
