Abstract

Typically, meteorological data are available from only a few sites in an area where air quality model applications are to be made. The most sophisticated air quality models require three-dimensional, gridded values of winds and turbulence. Even simple Gaussian plume models will benefit from the use of local conditions, rather than inputs from some remote observation site.
