The Role of Spectrum Generating Algebras and Dynamic Symmetries in Molecular Physics

  • Chapter
Symmetries in Science V

Abstract

The use of spectrum generating algebras and dynamic symmetries in molecular physics is reviewed. The special role played by the algebra of SO(4) both in rotation-vibration and electronic spectra is emphasized. Examples are presented.
