Abstract
One requirement of any appliance, tool, or other type of electrical device is that it must be connected to a source of electricity. Before the load will operate, electricity must have a complete path from the source to the load and back to the source. This path for electricity is called a circuit. Two types of circuit commonly are used to supply electrical power, series and parallel.
