Standards, Inspection and Accreditation Mechanisms in Transfusion Medicine
Like in any other profession, practice in medicine should be based on well defined criteria. These criteria should relate to the benefit and safety of the patient and the personnel involved, the principle adagium being the “primum est non nocere”.
